Garmin’s New Watch
/GPS4us News/ Garmin today announced the expansion to its Forerunner series of fitness GPS devices with the Forerunner 110 sports watch for walkers, joggers, runners and athletes. The watch is set with essential real-time workout information, designed to easily track progress in exercise goals and training. The water-resistant watch is set up to be give runners any information needed without a complicated interface.
Athletes should only have to press a start button to begin tracking, the company said.
In addition to displaying time and distance, the Forerunner 110 shows averaged speed and lap, mile or duration of run. There is also a feature to monitir heart rate and calroies burned. Runners can review data on the go, switch up their lap settings and set alarms to their personal programs. The Forerunner is said to be accurate with a new SiRFstarIV GPS receiver that can function when a signal has been temporarily lost.
The watch is set to log 200 hours of saved data and is estimated 8 hours of battery life. Runners can save time by charging the battery and uploading data Through Garmin Connect with a USB connection or export information through Google Earth.
