GPSing on Easter

GPS4us /PRregister.com/ In San Diego, CA a recreational park is taking the traditional Easter egg hunt into the digital direction. March 27th will mark Sacred Rocks Reserve’s 2nd annual Geocaching Easter Egg Hunt. Parents, Kids and families will use GPS hand-helds to locate the eggs hidden in various parts of the grounds. Instead of an actual colorful egg a traceable GPS box will be placed with a token that participants can use to ‘cash’ in for prizes.
Discovering the Geocashes might prove to be challenging since Co-owner of the campgrounds and organizer Sharon Courmousis tends to hide eggs/tokens in the most unlikely of places: a top far reaching boulders, inside hollowed out trees, and nooks and crannies that go completely unnoticed.
Participants will mostly likely have to climb and really get to explore and discover the park together. Perhaps this year families will have an added advantage with the tracking devices.
